Join us over the weekend of 15-16th August 2026 as we celebrate Miramar Salvation Army turning 100 years old!
Over the weekend, we'll reflect on and celebrate all God has done in and through The Salvation Army Miramar over the last century. There'll be activities and events on the Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of time to catch up with new and old friends.
Check out the updated schedule below! The majority of the weekend has no cost and requires no registration - just show up!
Our celebration feast dinner requires tickets to help cover some of the cost of the meal and help the caterers prepare enough kai for us all! More information and tickets will be available from late May - check back soon. [We don't want ticketing to be a barrier for anyone so we have planned ways to make this possible for people - please reach out.]

Saturday 15th Schedule
Join us for a day of celebration, connection and cherished memories from the past 100 years! Plenty to do but plenty of time to catch up with friends, head out for lunch or coffee, and come and go as you need.
Morning Mingle

Join us for a meet and greet time over a delicious morning tea. Catch up with old friends, relive memories, enjoy coffee and treats and connect at the start of a weekend of celebration!

Memory Lane

Enjoy a 'go-at-your-own-pace' trip down memory lane around the current Miramar Salvation Army building. Check out the spaces, remember special moments, share memories on the Memories Walls, and reflect on all that has happened in the current (and past) building!

History Chat
Sat 2pm
Come and learn a little more about the incredible history of the Miramar Peninsula (Te Motu Kairangi) from a local historian, before we dive into a panel with past Miramar Sallies about the history, testimony and good memories of Miramar Salvation Army!
If the weather permits, we'll also have some activities and fun outside on the lawn and playground for kids and families at the same time!
2-3pm Saturday 15th - Miramar Community Centre, Chelsea Street

Dinner Together
Sat 5.30pm
Let's catch up over kai, connection and entertainment! Book your seat at the big Miramar celebration feast - delicious catered dinner and dessert, live music, interactive moments and celebration, and devotions from a past Miramar icon. It will be a great evening for all ages together!

Sunday 16th Schedule
Join us for a morning of celebration and dreaming of what's to come over the next 100 years as we continue to partner with God on the Peninsula and beyond! Then connect over morning tea and coffee before heading out for lunch with others or start your journey home!

Let's gather together on Sunday morning to reflect on Our Story - to celebrate, give glory to God, and to dream and pray big for what's to come! With some past-iconic Miramar musicians joining us for the weekend, along with time for connection, sharing, morning tea and more. Come early for prayer and coffee from 9am! Did someone say cake?!
