Church Update – 16/04/18

David Medland   -

As this day comes to a close, so the school term comes to an end. Holidays for our school teachers and children. Enjoy. We salute your efforts and celebrate some rest days ahead for you. These next few weeks will be an investment in your physical and emotional health as you prepare for the next term. Thank you for all that you are doing. Schools were birthed by the church and here you are, representing Christ as you teach and care for your children.

Thinking about investments. Work is still being done on our Couples Night Out on 19 May. This will be an opportunity for couples in our church and community to have a night out together – great food, excellent teaching. If you have a good marriage, then come along and hear about how you can have a great marriage. Bring a friend. It will be like a date night. Watch this space for when registrations open.

Another investment in the life of our church is the appointment of Vanessa to our Senior Leadership Team. I am very excited about this.

This Sunday you can make another investment in your faith story as we continue our series “I can’t believe in a God who …” This week we look at a God who picked a faulty Bible to communicate with us. Maybe you think the Bible is unreliable or that, even as a historical book, it’s riddled with errors and mistakes. This week, we will see why many of the world’s brightest thinkers have come to trust the scriptures.

See you Sunday.
