Church Update – 18/05/18
Tomorrow night two incredible events are happening. Well obviously one is of far more significance to us than the other.
What are those events? The first one is Couples Night Out and the second one is the wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle. We all love a fairy tale wedding, and we all like happily ever after stories. Like most people in the western world, I wish Harry and Meghan all the very best. I pray that they will be open to God and used by Him to make a difference to His Kingdom as well as to the Commonwealth.
Hand on heart, the first event has captured more of my attention than the wedding. I am more invested in the life of my marriage and in the lives of those in our church who are married or in a relationship with another person. I am very excited about tomorrow night and look forward to sharing a fun and informative evening with you… before you go home and watch the wedding of the year! At this stage 26 of us have signed up, and I can’t wait to share with you all some insights to duets and songs.
This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. A significant day in the life of the church and my prayer is that it will be a significant event in your life as well. Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with others, to serve, to worship and to respond to God. Stepping Stones and Kids Church will be in full swing. This place will be buzzing on Sunday.
